Today's the last day for the convention and I'll be going home early tonight. Lots of schoolwork to catch up with. I got a report to do tomorrow, a lecture to conduct on binomial distribution and an article to submit for the school paper (which I'm not done yet collecting info)...
This busy, but very entertainment-filled week sorta diverted my attention from school responsibilities. As of now, I have no energy left for the organizations I'm handling. I wonder if my VPs could manage without me. Life next week will be one very flat line. I'll prolly be hibernating next week to catch up on my much needed sleep. The "Baked Ziti's" are in again due to sleep loss.

I'm here again at the ASPAC office with the fast DSL conxion by Mozcom. No one's using the PCs, so I decided to use a few bytes so as not to waste MEGAbytes worth of internet speed. I don't have much to say... just wanna comment a few things.
I thought nowadays I have mastered the art of "saving myself from frustration and disappointment". Well, yesterday's event proved I'm no expert yet. Frankly, I dressed up for the office in party attire as early as 7:00AM... expecting a wonderful night of food and dance during Japan Night. GAP Mobile handled the party, so I was expecting a BIG BANG!... Well, when we went there to the Fort, the mardi gras party was too wild for us with squatters looking at us from the fences and some hired dancers dancing on long tables (I hope they're not pokpoks, but they sure look liked like ahems... one even looked like someone familiar I saw at Main... yikes! forgive me for my judgment, but I heard one say "Pwede ka unya?"... no comment.) We wanted to party and dance the night away, but... the mood wasn't just right... that feeling that you just can't jam with the crowd no matter what... not even if you're given a million bucks. Squatter peeps watching with envy made me feel guilty and the ledge dancers... no comment again... So we just went around with our EXTRA LARGE shopping bags and went around the different booths to participate in games, where we won some prizes. They gave out souvenirs too, so we were like balikbayans back from Japan... hehe. Had my bag filled with posters, fans, calendars, postcards, JC LOM/NOM pins... and chicharon...hehehe I also got to taste their cold soba... definitely a Japanese dish I like very much... cold soba with those flavored flake toppings they put that are unique to Japanese cuisine... hahay... Suddenly, I missed those Japan days I spent 5 years ago.
We didn't stay late at the Fort, because our bags were heavy and we didn't like the crowd that much. So we went back to Waterfront and back to the office. There we played some trance and disco MP3s and made our own disco... not bad. Pinoy jud!
Anyway, have to go join Malaysia Night... I hope they could put up a better show than Japan. I'll just see... won't get my hopes high on it... lest I wanna get disappointed again. See you again peeps... school again on Monday... have to face the realities of life. Nothing lasts.

Just got home from a 5 hour dinner 'n disco... a night sponsored by JC Philippines... It was F-U-N... haven't been so ki-at for almost 4 years. Was supposed to do one during the acquaintance party, but got so busy organizing the whole thing, so this is a pamawi... Japan Night, here we come! weeee.....
I'm waiting to be fetched at the hotel. Once I'll reach home, time to hit the sack... I'm like floating now and have to wake up at 6. Tahtah...

I was very amused with one of the Japanese participants here in the office. We were doing some photocopying for the leaflets for tomorrow's Japanese Night to be held at Fort San Pedro. What amused me was that we wasted around 20 sheets of A4 paper just to get the leaflet copied with correct tone (darkness) and correct alignment (margins). We, volunteers, were all smiling when we saw them struggle to align it properly. When they saw some of us looking amused, one of the Japanese said, "We are Japanese.". Wow! Bang! That suddenly wiped those smiles off our face. Deep inside we recognized their keen-ness to detail. This awareness perhaps is one of the best things I have experienced throughout my helping in this convention.
Gotta go and watch over the copy machine printouts. There will be 500 copies to be made and one speckle of dust on the prints could mean my life for these people.

Hope it doesn't rain anymore tomorrow. (Ayaw na cge heaven diha peeps, para nice ang weather... pweeeze) Watch out for the night sky tomorrow. If the sky is clear, we could see the Red Planet at its nearest distance from earth ever! As for now, I'm still at Waterfront doing work for the convention... 2 days to go!
I need to log this down.
Today, I woke up to an early start just to cover two events in school so that I could feature them in our school paper. These are the inauguartion ceremonies for an ATM booth in the campus and the newly renovated AVR, now Rigney Hall. Saw a short video of the old USC, and I had a good laugh... hahaha I felt like I was an angkong reminiscing childhood days.... bwahahahaha After my short news correspondence, I went home to have lunch then I went to Waterfront Hotel to help in the preparations for the ASPAC Convention this week.
Today is day 2 of my duty and I could say planning and preparing for events like these is fun, but really tiring. We're volunteers and the tasks we do are rather time-consuming, meticulous and requires a lot of man power. I could just imagine what the other organizers have to do. Anyway, I just stick to what I'm supposed to do and do it the best way I can. Today's work is a continuation of yesterday's work. We printed IDs for the delegates and arranged them by their LOMs (local divisions). Meticulous work came in when we had to check the printouts versus what's written on the masterlist, since the encoders are separate from the ones segregating them. Phew... we must have sorted a thousand IDs... and that's just for Japan... the other team did Korea and Philippines and another for the rest. The office is so cold that we have to wear sweatshirts or jackets, and still we had to occasionally take hot choco or coffee (capuccino) from a Nestle dispenser just to keep ourselves warm. The good thing there is that we don't sweat while we work, so we don't get tired so easily... hmmm... all workplaces should be aircondtioned then!
I had to leave at around 7:30 to attend a dispidida *spelling??? party for our friend Cippy Lu. He and his brother will be flying to Washington tomorrow to continue their studies there. Lucky for them. We had fun at the party they threw at their residence in Talamban. We enjoyed the very tasty meal with LECHON atbp, RED WINE and BEER - San Miguel Strong Ice - a gift from his uncle to him. It's not yet out in the market, but it will be in 2 months or so. We were like guinea pigs up for testing.... hehe.... tastes good... has alcohol content of 6.5%. MGD's still better. Enough with the beer, since I only had one - good boy that I am...nyerks...
Met some interesting people there. There were around 12 of us... 3 were models, one of which was Dwight's GF and the rest were friends of Cippy's GF... finally got to see Adrian after my long absence in the canteen... hehehe. Still as loud mouthed as ever.... hahahaha... not even a volume notch lower... hahahaha. The night was nearing 10:00 and people were kinda silent, so Comet asked me to play something on the piano. I don't know the piano, but I have memorized a few notes (like push this, then that, with this and with that) from watching my cousin play. I played the intro part of Richard Marx's and to my surprise, everyone started to comment, so now everyone shared something, so they got to talking. A this is B, this is C, meet A, ayan. 'Twas silent at 10, things perked up and by 12, everyone was tired and wanted to go home, but they just couldn't 'coz they still had much talk to share. Well, everything must come to an end. This time the rain did it... hmmm someone must have caused it... I wonder why?... hmmmm... bwahahaha... Anyway, we bid goodbye to Cippy's parents and thanked them for being such wonderful hosts. We then made our send-off speeches for Cippy and Dwight (one liners lang)... hwag naman yung mushy... then we both exchanged cell#s with everyone and we left.
We dropped of Rhea at Doa Rita and I was home afterwards. I then typed my article to be passed sometime this week. I still had some energy left from the beer calories, so I decided to burn them off by blogging this... Sige na, I'll go to sleep na. Have to wake up early for tomorrow's intrams opening ceremony. The Engineering Cheerdance team will be dancing to the tune of Sexbomb Girls' Spageti (Spageting Pababa... Pataas... awww!) tama ba yun? and Parokya's Mr. Suave (hoyhoyhoy, hoyhoyhoy)... this I gotta see! Okay, tama na, bago humirit pa!

It's been long since I last blogged. I don't know why, but whenever I want to blog, I just don't have anything to say. Today I get to blog, since we don't have classes. I just want to update on what's happening in my life since the last time I updated.
Last Sunday, we had Peking duck lunch buffet at Majestic GrandCon with our BIG family. Went home aftwerwards and I took a long nap. The previous week was harsh for me... planning for the party... so I tried to catch up on my much needed rest.
Monday, went to school and was smiling all day hearing the positive comments about the Acquaintance Party.
Tuesday, no class for me so I did some errands and went to the gym to get back to the habit.
Wednesday, classes again and this time lots of schoolwork was thrown at me. Been neglecting it for the council, so I had to clean up all that pile of schoolwork.
Thursday, yesterday, no class again (vacant during TTh), but I had to go to school to pass a research report. Got some assignment from our EdChief, some articles to write... like the intrams and events for next week. Drove back home and drove my mom to SM and Ayala where we went shopping for birthday presents for 3 different people who will be celebrating their natal days this week. I also looked for a watch (since my watch got busted) and found one at Lucerne. Saw it at a catalog, but it wasn't available, so I just placed an order to have it shipped from Manila... just a thought... I kinda miss Manila. I hope I could travel there this sembreak. It's been 4 years since I rode on a plane. I'm already ignorant about the whole travel experience. Who knows I'll be pushing buttons in the plane (oh, what does this button do?)... hehe.
And as for today, I woke up rather late, so I missed my ride to the mall. I guess its better to stay home and stay away from the temptations of spending unnecessarily. Next week's intrams week, no classes, nothing to do, so I'll be bored stiff. Bigfoot hasn't contacted me yet, so I'll be helping my Di-ku with the ASPAC Jaycee Congress. It will be next week already, so I gotta finish something that I've started... something worthwhile to do to keep myself from the clutches of boredom. See you around peeps and keep in touch through your blog updates.

Today's a special day for me. Those who are dear to me know why.
1:45AM here in my clock... and I just got home from our Acquaintance party. I'm all drained, but I really had a great time. Though I didn't party hard like the rest of the peeps, it was fun enough to be working backstage with my co-officers whom I'm very proud of. I consider this party to be one of our greatest achievements...yet.
When the disco started around 10:30, we moved out of the place and had dinner (second dinner for some) at Il Sole Ristorante. I wanted to disco and party the night away, but I was really hungry and I could collapse there dancing on an empty stomach. I wouldn't also trade our dinner... my "bangka"... for some "ki-at". I had a great time having pizza and calamari for dinner with my fellow officers. I hope they liked the food and that it could compensate enough for their hard work.
The successful acquaintance party that materialized a few hours ago was a product of months of planning and hardwork from all of us. It was indeed teamwork. And I wouldn't throw another party like that without my fellow officers whom I'm very much proud of. You know who you are. Thank you and I hope you too had a great time.
P.S.
Raine, if you happen to visit this site, thanks a lot for that phone call all the way from Manila. I really appreciate the gesture. Thanks for remembering and I hope you're doing fine there.

I've been a VERY busy bee the whole week. That's why this site has been rather quiet... that is if some of you noticed. Well, been really busy preparing for the acquaintance party, which will already be tomorrow from 6PM to 12MN at the Village Courtyard. I just hope and pray that all our efforts and all our plans will materialize into one BIG successful party.
I just got out of a series of phone calls to follow up certain things for tomorrow's party. I'm gonna rest in a while after I enjoy this Kreamy Krown from Mister Donut. I seem not able to get enough of it!

I spent the whole afternoon at The Village Courtyard for the band auditions. Then later that afternoon, we made plans for the decorations. Went to Ayala to watch the store for awhile then had dinner at Big Mao. Nice place and nice presentation for the food, but still the food was ordinary Chinese food like Majestic... and the food was a bit expensive. Nothing special about that resto... just a place for people to be SEEN. BTW, saw Blanche 'n her family there.

Jinx day again... hahaha! Had a good laff today. I came from Main to get my admission slip, boarded a jeep and was going back to TC.... till I noticed the jeep took a different route. I then started to see White Gold then SM, so I asked the konduktor, "Bag-o and rota sa 13C? The konduktor gave me that puzzled face and said that I was in the wrong jeep. When I disembarked, I saw the big fat sign 10H... argh!... hehehe... I was sure I saw 13C when I boarded that jeep. I took a cab at SM and headed straight for TC... 'twas 15 minutes before my exam in ProbStat.
I feel like a clown this whole week... someone should pay me for my act. Fixed the light in the kitchen and our cook promised me a good dinner tomorrow. Hmmm... interesting. This I gotta see... errr... taste. Anyway, hafta go, I've got an event-packed day ahead of me.

What a day for me. I went to school today (even if I don't have any exams) to continue collecting payments for the Acquaintance Party. In one of my attempts to pass some forms to the clinic just to beat their lunchbreak, I tripped on some pavement and hurt myself a bit on my palm as I struggled not to to fall face flat on the floor. It's a good thing I recovered from the fall without landing on the floor... Lesson learned, the faster you run, the harder you fall... Well, I was headed for the clinic to have some forms signed and guess what... I landed there eventually to get some medical treatment. Hahay... this life of mine can sometimes be very comical.
Anyway, I just logged on to the net to send my resume to Bigfoot via email. I hope they receive it on their end. This is all for now, since I got an injured HAND and it's quite difficult to type with the biting pain. See how much I love you fellow Bloggers. Tiniis talaga.

I wanted to blog last night, but I was so tired when I got home that I just wanted to hit the sack right away. Yesterday was one busy day for me. I had to go to school early at 8 to conduct the 1st meeting for Robotics Club. After the meeting, I attended my 10:00 class... a really boring one full of equations. After the 2 hour class, I went to the commissary of Thirsty to have a contract signed since our council will be taking them as our concessionaire during the S.O. fair next next week and then during intramurals come August 25 at USC Main.
From Thirsty, I walked all the way to school and then when I reached the gate, I was feeling a bit hungry so I turned back and walked to Ila Puti to have my lunch. Van and Maia passed by so I called them in and they kept me company while I had my lunch. They asked me a very ??? (puzzling) question and hopefully my answer to it helped them understand the male psyche (that is if there is such a thing). When we were about to leave, I saw something as the owner of the shop left the store. It was one of those moments when I suddenly feel that life passes me by. It's not that I'm jealous, but I just think that there are really some lucky people out there.
As we left the place, my mind was off somewhere. 'twas lucky of me that I didn't get into something as I crossed the street. When we reached school, I presided over another meeting again. This time, it's for our council. We met with the bands and agreed to conduct an audition next week at the Courtyard. We also planned on the programme for the party plus the "games" which we hope will tickle the funny bone of the partygoers. Rode a jeep to Ayala with Van, Victor and Mark. We went separate ways and off I went to deposit some 30K money at Equitable. Afterwards, I went to the gym nearby and worked out till I had no energy left. Went back to Ayala and stayed there till closing time. Had dinner at Rai-rai Ken with family and my Aunt Dichim, Matts and Kyle and drove home really tired and *plop.
