What a fruitful day! I had a meeting at CoffeeDream with a representative of an I.T. firm based in New York. We clinched a deal with their company to provide webhosting services for our webteam. After the successful deal, our webteam met to discuss matters pertaining to the upcoming CBM Web Awards 2003, which we will be joining. Hope that we can finish our project before the deadline on June 14. Meeting was cut short since some of the members had other previous engagements to attend to. We'll continue discussion this Monday after enrolment. We still have to design a Flash presentation of our group's portfolio to be used in presenting our services to our clientele.

Satisfied with how things went for our team, I went to watch a movie with a friend. We watched Phone Booth... mind games to the MAX... bwahaha... spectacular, spectacular, the words are vernacular!

A few hours ago I watched the Ayala Fashion Walk 2003. I was given an invitation by one of the fashion designers of the show, a friend of mine. He's from Cebu too, but we met in Ateneo. He threw a fashion show at our dorm and I was his event organizer... hehe... coordinating with the lights, backstage, including... the make-up and attire... hehe. That's also how I met Rica Peralejo in person. Anyway, the show I just witnessed was nice... creative designs. Forgive me for commenting, but I could say I have an eye for fashion. Some of the models there were friends of mine like Dustin and Pierre (the Mella brothers), Joefranz Canizares and Recca Menchavez, so it was also a moral support thing.

I didn't finish the show 'coz I got really hungry and I had to supervise the closing of our store. We then had dinner at home... leftovers from my Sa-ee's lunch party. Our tummy's were grumbling for dessert, so we went to east, west Cafe. Went back home and played Starcraft till sawa... so I just finished the game and I decided to blog this. A friend of mine's having insomnia, so I'm keeping her company till she gets sleepy... how will I know she's asleep???... once there will be no reply... hehe... see after some texts, natulog na... Finally I can sleep.

Thought Korner
While driving home for dinner, my eyes were on the road but my mind was on to something else. Coming from the fashion show, I recalled those times in grade school... after school, I'd go to Rustan's to have rehearsals for some of their fashion shows. I was part of their kiddy RRC (Rainbow Riders Club)... I still have the pictures my mom took of me... haha! I just laugh at the sight of them... even just the thought of it tickles my funny bone.

We were taught then how to model... posture, "THE WALK", balancing and positioning of body weight, facial expression... and charm. To date, I still remember the lessons like it was yesterday. To some extent, it affects the way I walk. If any of you have seen me at the mall, you'd notice I walk faster than most people. It's because my feet don't feel heavy to me. Hehe... we modeled together with the YVIP (YoungVIP). Once you're an RRC model, you can automatically become part of the YVIP once you become a teenager. Sad to say I chose my academics over that career... besides... how did that model kid grow up to be a MONSTER...haha!... some questions in life you just couldn't possibly explain.

Tuesday, May 27, 2003

I just stayed home the whole afternoon. I just finished designing my new template and was ready to upload it, but Blogger couldn't make the changes since they're upgrading their systems. I saw their new console and it looks nice. Looks like Blurty, but a lot better.

Anyway, after I was done with Adobe Photoshop, I had nothing more to do, so I just turned on my Winamp and listened to some music. With stress-free music, I sort of gave things more thought.

Though my resolve remains firm, my thoughts ran through the people whose lives have crossed mine... spared no one, not even the person reading this. Some lit the way, some made flowers bloom, some painted beautiful sceneries and some added that extra drop of gold on the sunset. Some brought about storms that broke trees and branches, some made the road one big obstacle course and some brought about darkness and the dreary cold. Some withered along the way and some crossed the other world without seeing the bright future ahead they've worked hard for. I've crossed lives that did me wrong and still I refused to see the malady. There too were those that did me right, yet I saw them not and took them for granted. I thank the Lord for coloring my world... for giving me the power to make CHOICES... for making life unfold right before my very eyes. Without the past, I won't have the present and neither will I have a future to behold.

My thoughts this afternoon went to something wonderful that happened last night. While everyone began to head home, I remained... unaware that the night ain't over yet. It meant nothing to me then, but I just felt it today. Though the reaction is late and I could never return to the incident to reciprocate the gesture, I'm glad that my heart was still able to feel it. I'm still not dead after all. Strange... it rarely happens, rare indeed, but I'm glad that in this lifetime of mine, it happened. Miracles do come true after all. I should be jumping for joy now, yet with its passing, it saddens me to know that I've taken so many blessings for granted. Not being able to feel it at that very moment proves that I still am just a young kid trapped in an old man's body. I've always had my eyes set on so many things, yet I miss seeing what I already have achieved. I always get to solve the hard problems, yet I could even falter with one plus one. Why is that? I can decipher the subtle but never the OBVIOUS... why is that? Could it be that my life's getting too complicated that I just can't loosen up? They say in underdeveloped countries, many die of hunger. In advanced societies, people die of insanity... ho hum... what's to become of this life, I know not.

Living this life ain't easy. It's hard to make priorities. It's hard to make choices. It's hard to discern what's important and what's not. And it's a constant struggle to be grateful. We'll never miss the water till the well runs dry. We'll never value something till it's gone. We'll never know how much someone has touched our lives till we start missing their face, their voice, their company, the things we did with them and the way they make us feel comfortable about just being ourselves. Precious time is all we have. Time is expensive, but it doesn't cost a cent.
Last night, we had a very fun-filled night. First, we had dinner at Tsibogs Lahug where the birthday celebrant Raffy treated us out. We then went on a convoy going to City Lights where we went for night swimming. The view from up there was really nice and the pool was great too. It rained, so we had to stop swimming by 10. We freshened up, went back to The Village where some left their cars before going to City Lights. We then went on convoy again to La Marea where I had their Warm Brownie Cup. It still is my favorite dessert!!! mmmmm... We then made tambay outside La Marea to kill time, then we all went home afterwards. We said our goodbyes to Raine who will be going to Manila this week to continue her studies at Diliman. It's hard to say goodbye, but I guess to each his own way and soon the roads will cross again... if fate wills it.

--+--!!!Happy Birthday to my Mom!!!--+--
--+--!!!Happy Birthday to Raffy Ngochua!!!--+--

Hmm... I was shocked to see the word grumpy in my tag-board. Well, I was supposed to explain something about my outlook soon, but since someone brought it up now, well... I've been designing a new look for this site with the theme "Reboot". It will be up by next week tops. And Gar, sorry but the comments just slip past my ears. They don't support my resolve. Only I define my resolve.

Actually, I'm not being grumpy. To others it may seem thay way, but I really don't care what or how people think. That's not me before, it's me now. It's really taxing to be explaining one's feelings, attitudes and reactions to other people. I could spend a lifetime of saliva and words explaining my side, but sometimes people could just be huge bigots and all attempts remain futile.

See, there's been like a spirit taking over me for the past... 3 years???... Could it be an angel?... I certainly think so, 'coz nothing more than an angel could turn someone into a softie. Back in high school, I could say I was a.. now how would Melvs put it... an ICEKING. People could only see me from a distance... like I was in some ivory tower of some sort. I wasn't like that but that's how they CHOSE to see me, so it's not my fault. Mai now you know why he hates me. But hey, my parents were proud of me, I was confident and I had the admiration of my teachers.

Well, things changed and ever since I came from Ateneo... where I started to give a damn about this world... I lost the respect of my teachers. People could be such ingrates... they forget I could teach english, math, science and filipino better than all of them COMBINED... ask Sir Cagaanan to do differential equations... I'd rather ask my 2-year old cousin to do it, 'coz they'll never figure it out. But hey, my friends in Manila were made of the good stuff and they taught me the ART of having a lean self-worth. No fats, just muscles figuratively speaking.

For the 3 years that just passed, I grew fat and forgot the art. And once your defences are fatty, life turns as volatile as a thoughtbubble. Just as the self opens, it becomes vulnerable. As the self keeps stock of more acquaintances, life turns out to be more fun and lively with the rah rah guys and gals. Life is a wheel and soon these acquaintances could be worse than your enemies. Only a friend can stab you in the back. Some of you know how it feels if you've been on the receiving end. Better be my enemy than my friend, 'coz traitors perish ahead of enemies, I tell you.

Understanding this will be like reading the mind of a madman. It's impossible, unless you are the ONE. Men can be like computers. That's why I'm into those kind of stuff. Reboots are essential... to get more disk space, to increase memory, to function faster. So I'm back to my Kernel... brace for the rush.

Yesterday, we held a dispidida party for Raine at Dessert Factory near Mikado. She will be going back to Manila to pursue her studies at Diliman. Walter's car wouldn't start, so we got delayed for half an hour, 'coz he still had to call his driver to jumper the car's battery with their other pick-up. Afterwards, we all went to Ayala then after a few rounds our company of 6 dispersed leaving only Walter and I at the mall. We talked stuff and afterwards, we also had to split 'coz my mom's advanced birthday party was just an hour away.

I was on my way home to change for the party,.... when the car I was driving suddenly broke down just at the foot of the flyover. It wouldn't start and that caused a heavy traffic. I did some re-ignition and after a few tries I got the engine running again... till it conked out again near Cafe Georg. I just noticed a pattern. The battery didn't have much energy, so it needed the car's engine to keep it recharging. Once I released my foot from the accelerator, the battery weakened and thus the engine stopped. I had to drive home using the hand brake as my only brake, since my right foot could only handle the accelerator and the left for the clutch. My aunt had to drive back home to fetch me.

We ate at Laguna Garden Cafe. Food was great, haven't eaten there for several months already. I had the biggest eat during the party... hehe... *burp!

After the party, we headed straight home. When we arrived, the pipe in my aunt's CR burst. Had to be a handy plumber till the real plumber will arrive. Got to fix the pipe early so I took a shower and wanted to head off to dreamland, when suddenly the pipe broke again, so had to put a stop to it. It was never ending. It was a good thing the plumber really came at around 1AM already... so all of us at home finally got a good sleep.

Hmm... what was with yesterday? First, it was my friend's car, then my car, then the plumbing ordeal... hmm... some days are just like that I guess.

Well, today, the car mechanic did home service. Turns out, the battery didn't get discharged. The mechanic from Mitsubishi said that it was just loose contact. So he showed me how to fix the problem the next time it hits again. Learned something there I guess.

For the first time in my life, I ran out of words. I could say I'm a wordy kind of person. I love to play around with words. To me, it's a charm... but lately I just lost it. Just watch as I compose today's blog. I'm sure you'd think it's not me writing this stuff... that I must have been possessed by somet force or someone's taken my place in this world.

Whenever I open my blog, I wanna say something, but the thought just stops in my mind. I don't know why that happens. It seems like I have something to share, but my mind then goes "Ahh... what the heck... would anyone even care to know read about it?". Maybe it's me and my outlook in life. My mom's been scolding me these days 'coz she senses that I'm just too apathetic about my surroundings. The word "Bahala Na!" has entered my vocabulary without anyone introducing/influencing me to use it. Even her sermons just pass through from one ear to another. Why is that?... hmmm...

I have this weird feeling that I'm invisible and permeable... that feeling of "Would the world be as it is, even if I'm not around?"... hmmm... something to ponder on. Whenever I walk around the mall with friends, a voice in my mind goes: "What if I'm not here with these people, would the world be any different?"

And there's this other strange feeling... I sense that I have so much power that I couldn't care what the world thinks about me. I must be cold and numb. I don't know. Never had this feeling before... but I'm happier now... very HAPPY... Never been happier in my life. I get to do things in my own time and I get to enjoy the things I do. In a way, I'm more free, independent and liberated... ergo HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY...why is that? Should cold, heartless, harsh, sarcastic, numb and apathetic people end up being happy???... Your thoughts peeps, your thoughts...

I started the day with a short meeting with our department chairman. I set the appointment last week and I was rather hesitant to meet him, since the council hasn't clearly planned out a tentative schedule for the whole year. Council plans are... well... still plans and so far everything's still cloudy... not to mention the very discouraging ticket price of 325 I was ranting about days ago.

Well, life has full of surprises. The meeting turned out very positive. Not only was I able to introduce to the chairman the council's plans for this year, I was also able to get the department's support for our fundraising program. The only problem would be finding competent instructors to handle the workshops and modules. Surprisingly, he told me he'll handle that part of the problem since he knows a lot of computer professionals in the field. Hmmm... once you're a PhD, contacts are no problem I guess.

Second surprise was... the chairman asked me to help him start a Robotics Club in USC... "Robotics???", I asked with a very perplexed expression. Well, I just learned today, from him, that his doctorate dissertaion happens to specialize in the field of robotics. They're undertaking a project on finger print matching and iris scanning security devices... like Charlie's Angels. Cool! I used to watch with awe at that AMA commercial on TV where a school tour guide happens to be a robot made by the students... and the students then try to troubleshoot the robot when it malfunctioned. Soon, that commercial could just materialize right before my eyes for all I know. By 10AM, I left the office feeling lighter, with part of the burden UNloaded.

Speaking of loaded, I watched Matrix REloaded this afternoon. It was rather a long movie... took most of my afternoon. The special effects were awesome. It must have cost the producers a lot just to have those magnificent effects. I liked Neo's "trenchcoat". Looked very simple, sophisticated and very neat.

Well, today certainly was a day of surprises. Sometimes things just go your way without your anticipation.

Have to go now. The chairman asked me to compose a short article about the council. He will test launch the CompE site by Wednesday, so I have to come up with a page to feature the council... deadlines, deadlines, deadlines... life never runs out of 'em... hehe

The journalism workshop yesterday turned out to be very successful. We got to meet top editors from Sun Star. It was attended by VOT and Today's Carolinian staff writers and editors. Met new people... there were around 15 of us. We stayed at East West Cafe all day from 9AM to 5PM for our workshop. We took a short break and had lunch at Tsibogs. The "sugba-sugba" was good and so was the company of the people there.

Today I get to wake up late... but somehow I still managed to wake up early. Can't control by biological clock... hehe. My mom was invited to a wedding of her goddaughter. She's one of the principal sponsors. Wedding mass at 1 and reception at 7 at Grand Convention Center, so I guess well be tagging along with her.

Hopelessly Romantic Geezer Named Alfred

What's Your Personality Type?
brought to you by Quizilla
Yesterday, I had a very late lunch 'coz we had to do groceries at Makro with the really log lines. Then I had to pass by my Uncle Ali's shop to have our car' aircon checked since it refused to cool. They just fixed the auxiliary fan and changed the radiator's coolant. The engine was really hot and car air compressors don't function if the engine temperature is high.

So I had lunch with my mom and bro at Wraps. Met Vanessa and her best friend Ivy there . Adrian was also having snacks at the table beside them. I was supposed to watch The Matrix Reloaded and probably take the night off with some of my high school friends, but I had to pass on that outing. Yesterday, Brother... now Father Munching de Guzman invited me to his thanksgiving mass at Sacred Heart Parish and dinner party at Sacred Heart Center. He was recently ordained in Manila last month. I chose to go to his party 'coz he invited me personally and I'm close to him. He was once my Christian Living Education instructor at SHS-B and I used to visit him on weekends at his small flat at Marikina during my Ateneo days. Kar saw your cousin Kenneth and Auntie Betty last night at the party.

FLOOD!!!
We had to leave the party early 'coz I got a call from my bro that our house got flooded from the heavy downpour last night. The roads were very traffic, since many cars got stuck in the flood. Had to pass through Camp Lapu-lapu to get home instead of using the road from flyover down to Country Mall. My left leg really hurt from all the clutch work.

When I got home, the pump that pushes water out of the house can't handle the flow of water coming down from the Maria Luisa hills. So the water flooded all the rooms of the house except ours and that of my auntie who's in Manila. That's why I got to blog only now, since we were busy cleaning up the house from all the dirty water. Last night's flood was torture for our dogs... I hope the two pooches won't file abuse charges on us hehehe... They got scared from the lightning crashes and had to paddle their way through the flood. They ended up drenched and had no dry place to sleep last night. Poor them. Have to thank the Lord that I got to sleep on a dry cozy bed last night.

So here I am blogging at school. Have to go now 'coz I have a journalism workshop to attend. See you around peeps.

--+--!!!Happy Birthday Plum!!!--+-- ---> May 13

Plum, sorry wasn't able to greet you yesterday. I didn't know about it till I checked your site today. So where's the party???... hehe... just kidding.

Waiting for A Miracle
I don't have much to blog these days. Planning for the CompE Council's activities for this year is tougher than I thought. Got budget problems since yesterday... the number 325 keeps ringing in my head... and it's really a big number! I don't know how to lower 325 to 200... might have to do something to lower the peso-to-dollar exchange rate first to hit my target...like that's gonna happen. I just hope everything turns out right...

Blah! Blah! Blah!... Jabber! Jabber! Jabber!
It's really hard to make people change their minds about something. Not much loyalty nowadays. With the botched up Xmas party last year, it will be difficult to persuade people to attend another CompE sponsored party, especially if the ticket price is sky high... ho hum. Sometimes I wonder why I accepted this post. I thought I could make a big change, you know, do something out of the ordinary. Well, it's not as easy as I thought it would be. I have to admit, there are certain instances that I'd like to give up and pass the council on to someone else, but the thought of quitting before the year has even started just keeps me going. It's really a test of my patience and I hope I won't crack under the pressure. Running this council is the only inspiration I have left... and I don't plan to add any more inspiration sources as it is. All energy cells are concentrated in propelling this council all the way up.

I hope the other officers are as dedicated as I am to the job. 'Coz as of now, it's hard to make them do certain tasks, like to give me a call to confirm something, to send something over the net... and some to just even attend the meetings. I'm not making parinig... I'm just making you think about your duties that go with the privileges you enjoy being a public servant. Ignore me, I'm just venting out my frustrations. I'm like this sometimes. My hull integrity is still at 100%, but I hope nothing's gonna send it diving to zero... Here I go again... making yaw-yaw!

Tuesday, May 13, 2003

I really have nothing to blog, so I'll just post comments here instead of posting them in my tag-board.

Van, I'm not an expert on these things. I just base my "theories" on what experience has taught me. I could say I'm somewhat fearless and apathetic towards the world, but I also have my own reservations.

Maia, it's true! No one really waits in VAIN, especially guys. Useless sige pa cute kay manhid man mga peeps... No Brakes, No Gears... remember???... hehe.

Leslie, I'm not asking you to take the risk. The risk is not yours to take. Guys take that risk of being rejected, then the girls take the risk of giving their heart away to that someone. It follows that natural order and there's nothing in this world that could change it... perhaps something could hasten the process, but still the chronology must be followed. What I was trying to tell you there was to be practical and to seek happiness by first learning to love yourself. Ayaw anang pasakit lang sa kasing-kasing. To hold on to someone who is taken is actually waiting in VAIN... meaning to wait for something that could just end up in nothing. The chances are so little, especially with the circumstance/condition you told me about your Ahia and his GF. Besides, if he ditches that girl and takes you, you wouldn't want it either because it would appear you're the panakip-butas... right? There are still so many years ahead of you, and still so many people to cross your life. Enjoy life and don't let impatience rob you of the bliss your youth has yet to offer.

What Gary said is true. I believe in EQUILIBRIUM... that life in all it's mysteries is all about balance. To acquire something great, sacrifices must be made. Remember, without pain... there is no bliss.

Royale With Cheese, is that a new product of McDo???... hehe. What's with "tama!"?... comment more... wanna hear more of your insights. Hey, attend the next CompE Council meeting, mmmkkkaaay??? You haven't attended one pa jud. I'll need your support 'coz aside from being your batch's president, you're also the council's IPP.

Happy Mother's Day... Happy Mother's Day...

... to my dear Mom... to the mom of the one reading this... and to all mothers in the world.

It's Been Awhile..

Haven't blogged for 3 days already. I was really busy with errands for he family business, meetings with VOT & the CompE Council and my other rituals, which I couldn't do without. Tasks just came one after the other and hours passed liked seconds and days passed like hours. At the end of the day, I just had to hit the sack. I wanted to blog, but seems my mind can't focus in doing so... and it seems I wasn't missed, so I guess we're even.

Quote Frenzy
I just have to comment on this. Just came from bloghopping and came across the tagboard mayhem in Maia's blogsite. The QUOTE FOR THE DAY has definitely stirred up the house. I wanted to post my comments, but ah... never mind. When it comes to debates about the 4-letter word, the case is never closed. With utter silence, I rest my case. One argument just turns itself around... we just beat around the bush... and who knows sooner or later, the bush might have to beat us up for it... hehe.

Waiting In Vain???
Girls don't wait in vain... neither do guys! "In Vain" means "all for nothing". There are only 3 excuses for people to wait in vain: 1.They're stupid enough to stay blind. 2.They're masochists. 3.They're downright desperate.... oooowwwsssss... No one waits for something that' never there. Waiting... without the IN VAIN clause... is more appropriate... and healthier for our hearts. As long as we believe that in some point in our lives love will knock on our door, then there's no reason to worry at all. It's just about time. We are bound to it, slaves of it and are limited to it. If we set our hearts and minds to something, we will definitely get what we want. This is the part, which most are unable to see. Dreams can come true if we do something about it. Most just dream... dream... dream... and it just stops there, naturally that's the end of it and the dream just fades to oblivion.

Lightning Strikes!!!
Whoa! It does? Yes it does. But it happens at the rarest of times. And the irony of it is that many wait for it to strike, but when it does happen, people just turn their heads and get distracted somehow. When their heads return, it's gone and the moment just passes them by. Lightning strikes because of a 3rd Force. Without this force, not even the human will can make lightning strike. Figuratively speaking, I've tried to set a million sparks to create that lightning effect, but without the will of the 3rd Force, I got burned TRYING, but eventually I survived and proud to have LIVED through it to see the sun rise once more o'er the horizon.

Try, cause if you havent tried, you havent lived
I got this quote from watching Meet Joe Black. Seen it a lot of times, and just saw it for the nth time at Wowow today. I consider this quote as one of the pillars of my philosophy in life. Give things a try (...as long as they don't kill you or hurt anyone else...) Make mistakes and learn the lesson well. Live on the wild side, be adventurous, because when you get to that point in your life that everything's PERFECT, you'd wish you were dead 'coz life's too boring by then... no challenges, no twists, no perks, so life sucks! Do what you won't be able to do soon. Because if you don't, you'll miss those opportunities. And I tell you, with experience as my testament, the pain of regret is harder to bear than the pain caused by swallowing the consequences of trying.

Thursday, May 08, 2003

I was sound asleep... floating in dreamland... until... rrrrippp... my ears heard someone talking over the phone about... SARS. Here goes my mum again. I'm dead sick hearing people talking about this disease. I think I'll die first of their rantings before I get infected by the virus.

Anyway, I heard bits and pieces of the conversation and I'll just share what I heard. There's this FA (Flight Attendant) who brought her child to Chong Hua, since her kid had high fever. SARS cases are supposed to be handled by the North General Hospital, but this FA didn't know the cause of the fever, so she brought her child to Chong Hua. Now the child died due to SARS and 15 doctors and nurses of Chong Hua are now placed under quarantine.

I'm not sure about the validity of this news, since we all know how stories fly. I'm just sharing this to all you fellow Bloggers out there, especially those who visit Chong Hua for regular medical check-ups and diagnosis. Just take the necessary precautions when visiting hospitals these days. With all the paranoia around us, we can't be so sure of what's REALLY happening.

As for now, I'm in my room watching My Best Friend's Wedding on Star Movies. There's this movie line which was said twice in Julia Robert's films. It was said once in Pretty Woman and it was said again in My Best Friend's Wedding. It goes: "If you love someone you say it right then... or else that moment just passes you by."... or something like that. It's crazy enough to THINK about taking the risk. It's crazier to even TAKE the risk, but if we don't take it, we could be missing something quite AMAZING. So, NO REGRETS!

Wednesday, May 07, 2003

I was a HOMEBOY today... more like HOME ALONE, 'til my cousins Matts and Kyle came to spend the afternoon at our house. We ordered pizza for snacks and then played SIMS and Starcraft and watched TV until sawa... hehe. I was totally a couch potato... and a lousy pig all day...

Adrian called to check if I'm at Ayala, but I wasn't. It's funny how sometimes people look for me and I'm not there... and when I'm there, they're not around... hehe... another one of life's ironies I suppose.

Tuesday, May 06, 2003

Started the day with a workout. Skipped 2 schedules again last week, so I had to make up for it today. I was totally drained after 2 hours of muscle pump'n! Headed off to Ayala and decided to chill out inside a movie house. I watched X Men 2 and it was one amazing film... I was SHOCKED and AWED... hehe. Laughed a lot during the scene where Cyclops was talking to Jean Gray through Professor X. It really looked and sounded so... gay!

Sunday, May 04, 2003

Last night, Raffy, Boogie, Walter, Raine, Adrian, Jed and I went bowling at Gaisano Bowlingplex. We played for an hour and then went to Ice Castle Crossroads for some halo-halo, parfaits and banana splits. We had fun there with Adrian's LOUD voice... people were looking at us... hehe. We stayed there till 12 then we all went home.

Read the papers today and learned that there's a new senate bill postponing classes to September. I hope that doesn't happen 'coz it will mean graduation will be farther off than I expected... Nothing new to blog for now, so I'll just post some lyrics, since I'm rather hooked to this classic. Enjoy your weekend peeps! Have to get back to my sims.

Sailing...Sailing... Sailing... Sailing... Sailing... Sailing... Sailing... Sailing...Sailing... Sailing... Sailing... Sailing...

Well it's not far down to paradise

At least it's not for me

And if the wind is right you can sail away

And find tranquility

Oh, the canvas can do miracles

Just you wait and see

Baby believe me, oh

It's not far to Never Never Land

No reason to pretend

And if the wind is right you can find the joy

Of innocence again

Oh, the canvas can do miracles

Just you wait and see

Baby believe me, oh

Chorus:

Sailing (Takes me away)

Takes me away

To where I've always heard it could be (I heard it could be)

Just a dream and a wind to carry me (Soon I will be free)

Soon I will be free, yeah

Fantasy, it gets the best of me

When I'm sailing, sailing

All the world in a reverie

Every word is a symphony

Won't you believe me, oh

Chorus

(Instrumental)

Well it's not far back to sanity

At least it's not for me

And if the wind is right you can sail away

And find serenity

Oh, the canvas can do miracles

Just you wait and see

Baby believe me, oh

Chorus 2X

Yesterday's lunch at Seafood City with Jeff and his friends was great. Loved the mussels and oysters that were served in the eat-all-you-can buffet. After the party, Joy dropped me off at City Sports for my workout. Went out with her and Mary Ann at Ayala after gym. Bought a shirt for Jeff at Loalde. Went back to our store to watch over it, since we had many customers as a result of the closure of Arcada Foodcourt. It's good for our business.

This morning, did some errands for mum. Brought the car to the shop to have the steering wheel fixed, then went to Makro to buy some supplies for our store. Dropped the goods at our store and went back home. I'm now playing The Sims. I sent my SIMS off to a great vacation... skiing at the Alps... hehe. I'm now like their travel agent of some sort. It's great to be a SIM. I just wish life was as easy as that of an ordinary SIM... ho hum...

Thats a pretty long line of birthday greetings... straight for 3 days...

I must have fallen asleep before I could blog my day yesterday. Anyway, here it goes.

When I went to Ayala, I met Mark Gastardo, a dorm mate of mine at the Ateneo. He already graduated and is now working at a marketing firm at Makati. He just dropped by our store to catch up for old-times sake and will be flying back to Manila today.

I then attended Maries 18th birthday at A Taste of Mandarin. The prayer was done in Chinese by her lola. I only understood bits and pieces of it. Reminds me I have to polish more on my Fookien. Food was great, same as the food our family orders at Chinese restaurants. The people on our table were so insensitive... just the perfect reason why I hesitated to attend the party at first. They still teased me around with someone in the PAST... raising their kilays, playing with their eyeballs (I wish I can pluck out their eyes!), taking pictures of her in their digital cameras and showing it off to me. I just played it cool... coz Im now DENSE... Best option: DEADMA! They made me sit again beside her, which I really didnt buy this time. So I sat beside the most well dressed partygoer of the night - Mary Ann Luy... as usual, my lifesaver in our parties. Thanks Ann.

After dinner, there was a short program where everyone was to make a short speech... sort of a simple wish for the debutante. The guys in our group talked me into saving their @$$e$ by including the phrase, In behalf of all the guys here on this side... in my speech. The savior again... got used to it already.

After the party, which ended around 10, we went to Gaisano Bowlingplex.. not to bowl, but to play billiards. It was Jeds treat, since it was his birthday last April 29. Adrian played for a while, then left for Pipeline, since his cousins were playing billiards there too. Jed, Boogie, Raffy, Diandra, Tracy and I wanted to go somewhere else, since the night was still young... and so are we. But, Jed had a curfew... sort of a Cinderella thing, and Tracy wasnt up for bars, so we ran out of gimik options. We ended up staying at the Bowlingplex carpark just clowning around and then we simply went HOME.

As for today, I have another birthday party to attend. As Jeff would put it, we are his friends na malapit sa puso.... Drama ka Jeff. He invited us to have lunch at Seafood City... yeah just beside Maias house. So Im now off to another dining treat. Will have to make bawi for it later with a workout at City Sports.
