Wow! Today was fantastic! Definitely believe in the early bird catches the early worm... lolz.

I woke up really early this morning to see the EENT to have my ears checked 'coz I sense some difficulty hearing soft whispers... must be wax... (that didn't sound right...) The appointment wasn't till 9AM, but I had to ride with my brother as he was to be dropped off at City Hall to do some field work for USC's Architrecture Dep't. So I arrived at Cebu Doc at around 7:30AM. The place was still quiet, so I just walked around the whole block up to CocoMall and then back to the hospital.

Time was around 8 and my stomach went grumbling for some breakfast... so I wanted to have something other than Bo's Coffee Club's breakfast set (my usual breakfast meal whenever I'm at Capitol) so I checked out Tagala's near CDC, but they were still cooking chicken belly... and I only eat breast, thigh or leg... so I went hunting for a nice resto. And there I found one right across... the cafe's name was "Aikasarap!" or something like that. The place looks really warm and cozy, but not so much for their run down furniture, otherwise the place is really a cozy nook with the mirror-covered wall. I ordered a carbonara, and got this very cute serving... so much for my hunger... what can you expect from 35 pesos. Anyway, what filled my stomach was the book I took from the shelves and read while waiting for my order. I got so many answers to my endless WHY questions... and the book said a lot about why women are... and why men are... and I was just laughing at myself 'coz the book was... I have to admit... so darn true. It took me around 45 minutes to finish that cute pasta serving, 'coz I was so amused with what the book had to say. Probably I'll pay that place a visit again the next time I happen to be around Capitol.

So clock struck 9 and I was in the doctor's clinic. Had my ears checked and they just needed cleaning after 4 years of negligence... hehehe... I'll spare you the details lest someone here ends up puking... lolz.

After the visit to the EENT, I went to Ayala with my mom to buy some stuff at Marks & Spencer and a Josh Groban VCD for my Di-ee Po as a small token for the angpaos she gave us. So from Ayala, we went to my Di-ee Po's house to give the packages... and then... she asks me for my shoe size... I said to myself "Oh no, the angpao's enough and there's more???..." I have this difficulty turning down offers, but she really insisted, so I gave my shoe size and then she goes to her room and brings out a box with a G.H. Bass shoe inside. O.M.G.!!! My mom's cousin in the States sent the shoe for my Uncle Omid, but the shoe's too big for him, so Di-ee Po wanted to see if it would fit mine... Perfect fit. Parang Cinderella... hehehe. Thank God for big feet! What a lucky day! Surprise, surprise!

So I was all smiles driving to Mango Square Mall to have lunch... and with the tasty food from Vienna, my day was turning out to be one of a kind. Then went to Ayala to watch a movie with Merlin, but the queue was so long, since today's the first screening day. So I decided to watch some other movie, but there was no other nice movie to watch... And then my adventurous streak brought the Ayala boy to SM! SM to me is so far, it's too out of the way. It's already like going to Manila...

When we got there, guess what made my eyes go wide open... AMERICAN PIE THE WEDDING! I missed to see it when it was shown at Ayala, since I had to take care of my mom. So we rushed to the theaters, bought tickets and made the seats warm. We had a great laugh... The movie was packed with so many funny bone ticklers. I must have laughed my head-off. Hehehe... just kidding. I think I'm gonna be in for some cough medicine here. Stifler ROCKS, way to go! He acts like an ex-blogger... you peeps know who. Oh, and contrary to "Always the bridesmaid, but never the bride", don't fret. Sometimes it's better to be the bridesmaid... dunno why, but they're just... I'm sounding like Stifler already, so better stop this.

I finally got myself registered. I'm now a registered voter... yipee... hehehe... It took us an hour to process everything due to the queue. Came time for the picture taking, I threw out a very big smile... I was so happy the whole thing was nearing its end.

My left leg hurt a lot from the driving. Downtown surely ain't my kinda driving place... lots of jeepneys and cabs... and we all know how "well" they drive. When I reached Ayala, I rewarded myself with a Flame It! burger... yummm.

So much for voter registration, I feel so sorry for our family doctor. You see, his house at Beverly got burned yesterday at around 2:45PM, while he was doing gardening. Something went wrong in the master's bedroom... could have been faulty wiring... and their waterproof roof was asphalt-based plus the fact that his house was undergoing some renovations, the wood and the new paint made his house even more combustible. A lot was lost in the blaze, including his medical books and antiques which he treasured most.

He is a very good doctor, probably one of the best in his field. His family cooks one of the tastiest cuisines with Portions and Olio as proof of it. I just wonder ---> Why do bad things happen to good people?!?!? I just don't get it. Whoever made that a rule of life must be one big sucker... I mean... WHY?!?! Can somebody out there tell me why? why? why? WHY?!?!?!?!

Was supposed to update last night, but I fell asleep after listening to Killer Bee's Party on Weekends... I really love House music... it's a nice blend of trance and some soothing angelic voices... voices similar to Annie Lennox.

Just a quick update 'coz I have to hit the sack in a while. Have to go to downtown tomorrow to have myself registered for the upcoming May elections for the FIRST time... tsk tsk... Yeah, I'm so apathetic. It's just that I don't care much about politics, especially with OUR government being the ever-so-corrupt type.

Yesterday, I was at the mall with Merlin, a friend of mine. We made tambay at Bo's Coffee Club AFEC (Ayala Food & Entertainment Center). I had a mug of their hot chocolate (the best ever) and he had a Drysdale Mango juice. The place was practically barren... around only 4 tables were occupied. I'm sure most of their usual customers are now hanging out at the newly opened Starbucks outlet just nearby. Business nowadays... tsk tsk. I hope it's just flash in the pan or else, Bo's must draw out some strategy to take back their share of the pie.

Anyway, we wanted to watch a movie, but sad to say we've seen all the movies being shown at the Ayala cinemas, so we just scheduled a movie outing this coming Wednesday. "My First Romance" by Heart Evangelista... hmmm... hahaha! I think it would be worth the premier tickets. I kinda find Heart rather pretty.

Oh, and we had dinner last night with family at Cafe Georg. Saw Jana... (Is her family name Rodriguez? --> Jana friend of Emyat who's also fond of Anne Rice books) I hope I'm right, 'coz she made tagad and it was a shame I knew her by her first name only. Guess she's around for the sembreak.

Today, I just perfected a new recipe I've added to my cookbook. I call it "Ginza Fried Rice"... 'coz after 3 trials, my fried rice actually tastes like the Japanese fried rice served at Ginza... hehehe! Dices of garlic, onion leaves, carrots, ground pork, 4 eggs, dashes of black & white pepper, Kikkoman soy sauce and rice... I served it over lunch here at home and I ate to my heart's delight.

This afternoon, went to the mall to buy my cousin a birthday gift and afterwards, I just walked around the mall to make "bawi" for my big eat over lunch... burrrrp...

It's time to cool down a bit from my temper... Pasensya na po sa temper ko. Basta magalit, magalit lang talaga. Sorry din sa mga tinext ko abt the new address. I moved it back to my old site since the schmuck found it out anyway, so moving it to a new location would prevent some of my visitors na di ko tinext from viewing my site. So there.

Thanks to Karen for the help regarding my message board... and also for the posts of my other fellow bloggers. Thanks ulit.

So yesterday, I went to the mall to attend an Ayala Center Cebu Merchants meeting. Learned a lot about their new upcoming projects especially about their new car park system, since it involves a little bit of computer engineering... hehehe. After the meeting, met Gary at the mall and we decided to watch My Boss' Daughter. Really a hilarious comedy flick with so much out of the line "pakapins". Hehe... If you peeps want a good laugh and are somehow "mubo ug kalipay", then this will tickle your funny bone. By the way, thanks Gar for the ticket.

To the hater who goes by the nick sunburst and to all those who are reading this who have the same evil intentions:

I'm asking you for the last time to stop the nuisance you are causing. I tried to transfer my site, but I guess you're smarter than I've imagined. Bravo!

This is a friendly site and is no place for haters like you. If you want to stay alive, you better start being nice. You don't know me that well. You don't know me at all. And you don't know what I am capable of. I may not be as smart as you when it comes to internet stuff and site security, but I tell you... just a warning... if you continue to post that way in my zonkboard, you better start logging in at internet cafes. Oh and if you use "dynamic IP", I can always hire a computer whiz to track you down. My flat one in analytic geometry is sufficient enough to find the algorithm of your location. Don't mess with my math. I don't get those pisos for nothing. I hope you're smart to know that the net is so full of loopholes. Hackers get caught! Believe in it... believe it as firmly as your gay gender.

There's no guarantee of the safety of your identity. If you think the CIA exists only in movies, then you better start believing that its just right under your fat ass nose. I'm just putting a caution here on this pathetic life you lead, because if you won't stop, I'll hunt you down like an eagle. Run and hide. Run like your life depended on it. Run.

My family is one of the most powerful and influential families in this place and you can't possibly comprehend what my family can do to YOU and to the people you cherish most like your family, friends and your gay lover...ass. If you care for these people, you better have a change of heart or else, your blood and theirs will be in your bloody dead hands. And, oh... I'll get away with it. People can be bought. I hope they do have a price for you... oh yeah I forgot you're priceless... not that meaning of priceless you idiot... you're worthless. People would rather pay millions for your shit on their plates than a cent for your life. If you won't stop this, you better start experimenting on the effect of 20mm bullets on your head... maybe you'd find out the greatest truth in this world... that you don't have a head after all. Bravo! Just ask me when you'd want to venture into this research experiment. I'll fund you all the way, yeah all the way through it. You have my support. You have my funding. If it needs more funds, I can throw fundraising parties in the name of your hollow brain.

As you claim I got busted eyes, think again... at least I'm gutsy man enough to admit my feelings to a girl I admire, unlike you... the ever faceless coward torpe-do... always hiding in nicknames and aliases. Style Mo Baduy pare! Luma na yan... Mas maayo pa mu diskarte akong pet dog Snoopy. :p And if ever you'll finally gather whatever gutsy you got, you'd probably be confessing your love to another man... oh, how gay is that. I can't imagine... gross. The only girl you probably loved and who loved you was your mother. Reminds me of Stifler's mom. Jok Jok Jok.

Don't think I'm bluffing... and I'll be kind to give you an option here. But if you waste it (I'm sure you will waste it... ikaw pa... That's what I like about you... you are so perseveringly stupid.), my only prayer for you is that I hope it won't take you to be six feet under to recognize the biggest mistake you've ever made. You'll be running like a prey hounded by a team of rangers. You may live for a couple of weeks, but your biggest enemy won't be me. You'll be racing against time. You're just a tip away. If you think I'm just threatening, then go ahead, continue doing your thing. I just hope you have a plan B. I don't have plan B's or plan Z's. I only have one plan and I see to it the job gets done. You'll be dead for several years already before the public gets to read your obituary in the papers. I'll have your empty brain and your torpe heart all preserved in formalin as an added collection to my gold medals and trophies. That'll be the most unique trophy in my collection. I could open a museum for the public to see... entrance is free.

Don't mess with me. You don't know me at all. No one messes with John Lim. No one. Not even shameless assholes like you. I am not God-fearing I tell you... and a man who fears no god, fears no one, fears nothing. May "He" have mercy on your soul! Amen.

I finally got myself enrolled for this 2nd semester. Enrolment was a breeze this time with Sir Barangan helping us throughout the enrolment process. I didn't have to sweat just to get my subjects encoded. Hehe... I was laughing to myself when I got the final printout of the course load and schedule I made for myself. My schedule was great with full TTh loading and half-day on MWF and finally no Saturday classes... but... BIG BUT... if was really smiling at my 23-unit load.

Why?... because I just realized that I have 2 ECE subjects, 1 Speech and 7...as in SEVEN Computer Engineering subjects to handle. I gave a thought on it and realized that perhaps I just signed myself into an "academically suicidal" feat. I can't change the load since I no longer have minor subjects to take and if I would underload, it could disqualify me from graduation with honors... that is if I could still maintain the grade cut-off... hehehe. Oh well, I'd just have to take it as a huge challenge on my part. I'm starting to feel quite uneasy as the days inch towards November 3... that's when 2nd sem starts. My only wish here is that my subjects will be handled by more considerate teachers... hmmm... like... Sir Bersonda... hahaha, joke. B-U-T... if it so happens that I'll be under Ma'am Bandalan or Sir Burce... PATAY, BI....TAY! lolz :p

I've been very lazy for the past few days... too lazy that I don't blog anymore. So here's an update since my last post.

Friday night, we went out for dinner. My Di-ee treated us out to Ching Palace for her birthday party with the family. The food was great, especially that fish in white sauce dish. It's a must try restaurant. The place is nice and you get to amuse yourself with their aquarium filled with really big fish... arowanas, catfish and extra large carps? On the other side of the restaurant is a huge bird cage full of exotic birds like vulturettes, cockatoos and "magic" quails... magic because their feathers change color when exposed to the sun... kewl! Other than the ambiance, the food is really good. The taste is definitely unique. If you want something Chinese, but different than Majestic, Taste of Mandarin, Lumpia House, and at more affordable prices, then this is the new place to be... hehe free advertisement for them.

Saturday, I spent the whole day at home. I was in the mood to go to the mall, but the car's still in the shop and it would be a hassle to abide by someone else's schedule, so I stayed home. I just dug up my pile of PC game CDs and played SIMS... after a few clicks, I got hooked to the game. So I played till sawa.

Yesterday, went to the mall late afternoon... just to get a glimpse of the world beyond the 4 corners of my room. We were just quick inn the mall... just bought some gifts and watched the store for a while, then went home to eat and play more SIMS... hehe.

Today, I just came home from school. Was supposed to enrol myself today, but can't 'coz today's block enrolment and ours will still be tomorrow. I just got a registration form ahead so that I don't have to line up in tomorrow's extra long queues. In a while I'll be going to the mall to help out and then tonight I'll be going to Chong Hua to visit my bestfriend who contracted dengue fever a few days ago. He's fine, but as for the moment the doctors are monitoring his platelet count. Please pray for my friend that he'll be fine soon.

We finally returned home grom the hospital. My mom got discharged from Cebu Doc just this 12 noon. She's resting now and I'm also looking forward to sleeping on a more comfy bed... MY bed... hehehe. This is all for now. I'm quite tired and got nothing to say... topic anyone?

Anyway, took a short quiz from Plum's site...

Whoa! Something tells me that there's this force that prevents me from blogging... I've wanted to post blog last Monday pa and it's just now that I can... Actually, I don't have the time to blog, but I just have to take a few minutes to log everything down.

About Saturday night, we had a thanksgiving party at Jo's Inato to celebrate Marie's winning of the Miss IE tilt. I was invited, so I went, but I didn't feel quite comfortable with all of them around. I don't know, but I feel as if I'm a complete stranger to them... is it them or is it just me that I can't see them the same way as before. Anyway, Maia was the talk of the table for about 2 minutes... full details the next time we meet. After Jo's some went home, while some of us went to Tinderbox to have "coffee" daw... what happened was only Stephanie and I bought a drink... hot choco for her and espresso machiatto for me... people there were such cheapos only ordering a glass of water, which is actually free... and to think we occupied that long table in the cellar... hehehe... After that, some of us were worse of than Cinderella 'coz they had curfew's before 12.... hehehe. So only Michael Tee, Adrian and Mary Ann were left and since we didn't want to waste the remainder of the night, we made tambay infront of Netopia at Northgate. Afterwards, Michael Tee, who also lives in the same village as I do, dropped me off home.

About Monday, we spent the day at Portofino Beach. 8:30 was the "sabot" time, but we left school at around 10:30...talk about double that of Filipino time. The beach was nice, we had a lot of fun with all the "sugba-sugba" and most of all the nice sea water. We caught sight of a jellyfish, hunted it and had it for kinilaw... sarap! Some of the peeps at the beach were so badlungon, since 2 of them got so drunk, we had to carry them to the USC bus... and while I got off at the Mitsubishi plant (since our car had to be brought to the shop for repairs), the rest of the bus riders had to worry about the 2 drunks, how to contact their parents and where they lived... and the rest... ask Gary. So much for that, yeah, the beach was F-U-N. I was so pooped that night, I just couldn't blog about it. I'll post some beach pics when I get my copy.

About Tuesday (yesterday), I spent doing errands for my mom. Ayala was going to cut electricity from 1AM to 5AM, so we had to move our stocks in time for the power outage, because if we don't the stocks might get spoiled. While we were moving the stocks, we thought that might as well perform a general cleaning, so we did and we finished at around 12:30AM. I was so tired then I just can't blog... so I slept!

Today, was supposed to go to the mall early, but had to bring the car to my uncle's shop for some paint job. We took a cab to Ayala, disembarked near that taxi terminal in Metro Ayala and we were going down the flight of stairs near the entrance to the Metro foodcourt... suddenly my mom tripped, rolled over some 6 steps and injured herself badly... a big bruise on the head, one on the elbow and both of her knees. It was a good thing that my Tita Tess was just in Ayala, so we rode in her Rav to Cebu Doctor's Hospital. She had a CT scan and the results are negative, so no sign of injury... thank God! The X-ray plates will still be interpreted by the doctor... haven't got the results yet, but as long as her head injury is fine, there's no cause for alarm. Salamat sa Diyos! So now, I'm home to get some things needed for an overnight's stay at the hospital... so I took some time to post blog and in a while I'll be back to Cebu Doc. My mom will be discharged tomorrow PM after the results of another scan... a "Completion Scan"... dunno what that means. So Metro Ayala will be shouldering all medical expenses, since the cause of the fall was a big hole on one of the steps in that staircase. Many have already tripped on that staircase... one even got 11 stitches on his forehead due to that and still they did nothing to patch the hole... so they better do some patching soon. Anyway, avoid passing there... I'm sure you guys won't be walking that way anyway... hehehe... So, till here muna and I'll post blog soon! Enjoy your sembreak!

Sunday, October 12, 2003

Leslie came to our house this afternoon to have her PC fixed. There was some problem with the system registry since she maintained 2 operating systems in her computer... hehehe. We fixed the computer till 11:30 tonight... took us a lot of time due to WindowsXP restrictions on her internal modem... which we never got to fix, so I guess she has to buy a new modem that is compatible with WinXP. So he's now using Win98... so she can play RAGNAROK.... hehehe... na addict jud.

Just downloaded Close(Power of Your Smile) by Paolo Santos... nice! Anyway, till here 'coz I have to sleep early for a beach party tomorrow. Enjoy your sembreak peeps!

SEMBREAK IS FINALLY OVER!!! Walang pasok!

School Ain't All Academics and Sports...
A tribute to a professor who has defined this road I take... this road of mine less traveled...

You can learn a lot about life from your college professors... if you really try hard to make the connection. People have stories to tell, experiences to share and advices to give. I've been under this specific professor's tutelage for 2 sems already. Yes, you peeps know him, and I've mentioned his name in this blog a few weeks ago. Anyway, it's Sir Delante, if some of you still don't know him. I really don't know his first name (tsk tsk), but I just call him Sir.

He's been giving a lot of insights to our class and other people's classes as well. He makes these "plug-ins" during his discussions and I've heard the "plug-ins" in just bits and pieces. I wanted to know the whole story or the whole deal of it, so I decided to connect. I've always been fond of the Why's and How's of things... someone once told me I should have pursued a degree in Psychology... God forbid.

This morning, we had an "exam" and I was really perspiring while solving 3 difficult problem sets. Difficult, because Sir never discussed those lessons in class. I somehow managed due to my firm math background, but most of my seatmates were copying my solution and Sir saw them do it, so he asked me to pass my paper and I got exempted. What a deal! Why not?... so I passed my paper and got a piso for that matter... hehehe.

I was lingering around campus after the exam, since it was still 2 hours away before my sundo was supposed to fetch me. In my aimless wanderings (since I just have the knack for walking), I bumped into Sir Delante again near the ECE department. He was going to have lunch and he asked whether I've had lunch. I haven't yet, so knowing Sir, I decided to join him for lunch... at Joven's Grill at A.S. Fortuna. Haven't eaten there yet, so I was in for a first-timer's bite. We rode a jeep to Foodland and walked the rest of the way there. Malapit lang naman, so we walked. We had their eat-all-you-can buffet worth 110 each. So sulit talaga... bottomless drinks, bottomless food and there were scallops, fruits, salads and lots of grilled meats. We met also several taga-TC there since today's the graduation of the Octoberians and many of them had their post-grad party there.

Hearts of Fire and Ice

Over lunch from 12 to around 2, Sir Delante and I swapped some "tales" --- sounds so cheezy... pasensya na po... and I really got to know why he speaks of such things in class. I saw a generous, kind-hearted and merciful being behind that shell. He has helped so many people get their lives back... helping friends of his who used to have barely a meal to eat a day into successful businessmen residing in Australia with cars to buy and mansions to build... but in the end, those ingrates left him in the shadows. I could see in him the perfect example of a modern-day matchmaker who never found his match... the construction engineer who never got to own his own building. He built empires for others, but never even got to build one for himself. It's reality and the way it sounds, it sucks and makes us feel emotions of pity, sadness or disappointment. But his generosity brings forth emotions of pride and joy that encompasses all the negatives. I'm sure there are many out there who have such tales to tell.

He may not have taught me much in my Engineering Materials and Control Systems subjects. Frankly speaking, I learned nothing, sorry Sir. It was all mathematics as I once said before that a grade 3 pupil could solve. It's what scares me, because the upperclassmen have told me that the 2 subjects he taught me, especially the latter, are very important in my thesis. I'm considering of retaking it next semester even if I got a 1.0 for it. The only discount there is that what he shared over lunch could be considered as a free lecture on a course on Reality. And that's what matters most, because we are not remembered on our graves by the difficult equations we have solved, but we are remembered about the upheavals and trials we've faced... how we surpassed and sometimes how we succumbed to them. It's not the money, the brains or the looks that make up who you are, but it's the stuff in you that makes you, YOU.

I'm very discrete with my inner struggles. Only 4 people know of it, Sir, my bestfriend, me and Him (of course, omnipotent, omniscient, omni...present), but I spoke of them to this professor of mine because I believe he could understand me and perhaps provide me some insight as to how he dealt with these pressing issues when he came across them years and years ago. I've wanted to confess/share these to a priest, but they sometimes speak in jargon only Jesus Christ could understand. Hehehe... Forgive my arrogance. Dad could have been the best, but I'd have to trust his aethereal signs to get my answers for them and as I said, mothers think at a different wavelength... so where can I run to? Oh no, it's not about l-o-v-e or w-o-m-e-n. Been there done that... freeze them all for all I care and I'd still see the sun and get my daily dose of Vitamin D, I'd still get to do KKK, I'd still have a life. harharhar!

So we spoke and I decribed to him how I grew up, with whom I grew up, where I grew up and the rest of history's steps that I have traversed. We left the restaurant with Sir busog from the buffet and me feeling a bit lighter. I ate A LOT, really A LOT, but the talk over lunch removed a big cement sack over my shoulder, so I still felt lighter. My realization of the whole thing was that my problems are really very petty as compared to some who have to work so hard just to be able to get to college, with barely enough to spare for meals and shelter. The most obvious lesson I learned was that the world is just there, just like that, you can change it, but not that much really, so if approximated, whether round up or round down, you still changed NOTHING. Face life's realities the way they are. Be grateful for life, for what you have and what others have done for you. Be contented with who you are, how you look, how much you have and the kind of friends you've got. Better be alone or have just one close friend than to have so many who are just strangers and knife-wielding backstabbers in the end. With friends as rotten as that, who needs enemies?

Made this up (tee hee... I think my mind needs rehab already, but give it some thought please if you want to challenge your mind... or if you wanna join mine in rehab...hehe) here it goes:

There's something greater than one. But the power is still in one.
Hahaha! Some people are getting the hang of my *zing. I like the tag of a visitor named Lisa (who are you by the way?)... got me to a lot of thinking really... I still like the 2, but... it doesn't mean that if I like someone I'd court them or something. People like certain people and sometimes it's just up to there at a certain point of time... It's no guaranteee that if you like someone it equals a future with them. Absolutely not. It's what I've learned from my friend RTP and I think there's truth in it no matter how SMB he could be.

There are times that though how much you like someone, you get to see some irreconciliable differences that you just couldn't live with. Boy might like pretty girl, but pretty girl is sorta "mataray" and since boy can't live with that attitude, boy gets turned off. Boy still likes pretty girl, but considering a future with her... I think not... unless of course boy can swallow that angle or if pretty girl becomes nicer to people. Another case would be: Boy likes nice-attitude-girl, but perhaps the physical appearance ain't that appealing... and if boy is too proud and can't live with an average-looking person, then nothing could happen still. Either boy takes her for who she is or if... after a few mugs of beer, girl suddenly turns into a hot babe... hahaha! That would be something for Oktoberfest!

Anyway, it's not the commitment thing. I'm not so much back into the game for now. I think I need a much needed break - a break from the chasing here and there of people who seem to be so "papresyo"... they feel as if they are.... who are they anyway?. I'm not ranting here, I'm just stating some points of reality, which by the way is the core of my blogentries... to be Unabridged. It would actually do me better if I just take a rest, recharge and perhaps save more of my energy, money, time and effort for the "right" one that shall come along soon. It's sometimes better to save up for a rainy day and heave a big splash of water... err... big block of ICE rather than hurl small trickles... err icicles. Some love to learn the hard way, to get the message clearer when they're poured a bucket of ice-cold water rather than from minute splashes. As my site's theme is... Frozen Chemistry. Chemistry is still there... it governs everything, matter, mind, heart and all, but for now it's frozen, gathering tons of ice, so that when the heat is on... magbaha!

Finally I'm done with my programming assignments... that's 2 final exams off my shoulder. 5 more to go... I'm enjoying some music I just downloaded: My Immortal by Evanescence and You Don't Miss The Water by Craig David and To Where You Are by Josh Groban. Absolutely great music.

3 day sale at Ayala this weekend from Oct 3 to today. I was at the mall yesterday busy helping in the store. We had very late dinner at around 10 due to the crowd that we had to serve. After dinner at Rai Rai Ken, I met up with some friends over at the jeepney terminal where the Oktoberfest was located. We just stayed outside, since there was a really long queue to the entrance. I couldn't join them also because at any moment soon, I have to drive home. The party inside looked great with some nice tunes played by a couple of entertaining bands. So after an hour there, I went home to continue my programming assignment, which I will still be finishing after I post this blog. So till then, good luck in your final examinations. This is the last stretch... make it count.

Blue Screen Day

Today was a Turbo C day for me. During my free time, I was practically facing the blue Turbo C screen programming for our finals. I hope I'll be done with this tonight, so I can enjoy my weekend without being bothered by the thought of unfinished work.

New College

This afternoon, I attended a short forum at the AVR. Our chairman invited some department chairpersons and deans from other universities to discuss his plan of forming a new Institute or College here in USC. He calls it the Institute of ICT (Information and Communication Technology). Among those present were the chairpersons of the College of Computer Studies from DLSU, CIT and USJR, our own ECE/EE Chairman, Math/CS Chairman, faculty members Sir Levi and Ma'am Pea of CS Dep't and some faculty members coming from our home department. Mr. Wilson Ng of Ng Khai was also there as representative of the ICT industry. Melvs, I see the semblance. Our chairman plans to unite the CS/IT, CompE and EE/ECE Departments of our university into one college/institute. The plan sounds good, since resources can be pooled together and we students get more access to CS/IT facilities and vice versa. The only obstacle here will be the Ivory Tower - Administration. Based on their reputation of being a group of close-minded, "karaan-style", "chi-bin" (money-faced... tama ba ang term?) priests I doubt it if they'll give this plan a go signal. Let's just hope for the best... and I hope I'd get to benefit from this before I graduate.

Have to go now take a sip of a new blend of coffee.

One more week and SEMBREAK! Whee... I'm in for a beach outing... but for now studies first... I'm starting to feel the pressure of my academics. Finals week next week and I have 2 pending long programming assignments due next week in lieu of our finals exam. Hopefully I could finish them tonight or perhaps by tomorrow afternoon when Im free, so that I could breathe more easily during the weekend. Spent my afternoon doing errands for mom, then I went to the gym I practically wasted my time watching that lousy ballgame between FEU and Ateneo. Ive never seen a game with so many turn overs. The Ateneo team did very poorly. They must still be recuperating from their stressed games vs DLSU hehehe. FEU played really well.

As to the case I presented in my previous blogs Ive decided buti pa wala na lang. Im happy with who I am now and what I have. I believe Ive reached this point of bliss with lots of effort and as of now I cant risk the smiles Ive been wearing lately. Mahirap kasi mabalik sa dati na lagi na lang galit and nagmumukmok. Mas mabuti kasi yung palaging masaya at game na game. kahit puyat

Im brewing a new site. Was supposed to test it last night, but something went wrong with my ISP and I wasnt able to connect. Hopefully by tonight, I could already upload the newest version of my site. Version 6 to be exact.

I found a new source of joy at home... my ORCHIDS. Orchids are really fun to breed. You could actually see them multiply since they just branch off in shoots with their roots protruding off the stem of another orchid plant. Once I see an offshoot, I immediately dissociate it, cover it with dried coconut husk and then set it apart. It then becomes a separate orchid plant...that's another one added to the collection. Oh, and just a tip... after frying some eggs, don't throw away the eggshells. Keep the eggshells as whole as possible and put these shells on the orchid plant. It's more like vitamins for the plant so it would bear more flowers. I now have two orchids in bloom. One is yellow and the other white. Amazing!
