Yesterday was another of those busy days that causes me to just have Taquitos for lunch. I had 2 exams yesterday by Sir Patiluna and Ma'am Bandalan. Aced Sir Patiluna's exam, but as Ma'am Bandalan's... I don't think so. It was a difficult exam. THough it was a multiple choice exam, the questions were problem solving and troubleshooting exams that had multiple choices as answers. The bad thing with multiple choice is that it kinda confuses you all the more... but if you don't know the answer, at least you could take a wild lucky guess...
Last night, I watched Gary's play "Hanggang Dito Na Lamang At Maraming Salamat Po". It was required of us in English, so the AVR was really jampacked. Well, that's not just the reason. It was indeed a really wonderful play. The lighting and the sound effects weren't that good, but I was definitely very much entertained by the dialogues, by the plot of the story and most of all how the actors managed to deliver the skit excellently. ;) It was about a closet homosexual's one-way love towards a young teenager boy who refers to him as Tiyo/Uncle. It was really funny and I kept on laughing at how the drama unfolded. Though it was about a different kind of love, it had several messages that I guess are universal about love... be it with homosexuals, men and women, and maybe perhaps with chimpanzees... It relayed a message that love is about "chemisry" and "sparks"... that no matter how good you are to that "special someone", if he/she feels nothing for you, there's nothing to be "kilig" about... that love is not about indebtedness to a good deed or deeds... that love must be expressed and not kept - I mean "Tell Her About It!"... and most of all... love is non-negotiable... maybe with time it can be, but with immediate words and actions, seriously NOT.
After watching the play, I came home, turned on my TV set and it so happened that the channel was set at Starworld 49 where For Love or Money was being shown. Actually it was showing the final episode where the guy gets to pick THE girl among the 15 initial contestants... and then the girl he picks gets to choose either Him or the money. Funny thing was, the guy - Rob picked the prettier girl - Erin, who was not showing much affection for him... maybe because her "mystery" intrigued him a lot... well guess what... she picked MONEY... obviously... that's what you get for risking too much on mysteriousness... hahahaha... I pity the other girl - Paige, who went away crying 'coz she wasn't chosen and who kinda had feelings for the guy. Well, I guess she should be laughing upon knowing that Erin chose money... hahaha... My brother and I were watching the show and we were betting on the idea that Rob would pick Paige who likes him... and then perhaps it would unfold that Paige would still, like Erin, choose money over love... hahaha... that would have made it hilariously funny, but I guess my brother and I had a good laugh when Erin chose money... Not too much laughter I suppose, 'coz too much of anything is BAD.

I'm at home on this holiday doing some Photoshop designing. I'm having a hard time conceptualizing designs 'coz you see, I've been doing a lot of circuit wiring and designing for the past 2 weeks, so all I could think of are straight objects, straight wires, straight lines... I need to see some CURVES!... to make a nice design... help me!

Ma'am Daday suggested "NOSTALGIA" which meant reminiscing or longing for something... hmmm... I did some improvement and after 24 hours, eureka! I found THE name for our event. "EUPHORIA" meaning a strange sense of happiness, joy, success and well being. I've already designed a logo for it and I'll post it here as soon as I upload it to my FTP site.
Last night (Saturday), we ate at Hotei at JY Square Discovery Mall. Mom ordered Una Ju (Unagi/Eel) 'coz she wanted to try it. Mom and bro didn't like it, so I ate most of it. What a jackpot!

Hmm... I'm thinking of a name for our year end event. It's gonna be a thanksgiving party for a successful year, at the same time super senior sendoff party, Council turnover ceremony and Mr. Ms. CompE Pageant. It will be at Grand Convention Center this March 12. Help me peeps. Help me think of a one word name for our party that will embody all of the above mentioned highlights. Thanks!

Finally we're done with the prototype for our parking lot project. Those 4 sleepless nights were all worth it after the score Sir Burce gave us... hehe. After the sleepless nights come the... eyebags! I think I wouldn't be surprised if someone mistakes me for a raccoon. Till here muna... I'm at skul blogging and I'll be going to Main in a while to see some exhibits. I'm so glad it's finally over. Now I can get back to my NORMAL life!

Finally I can take 2 days off from project making, council work and work from the Dean!
Been so busy and at least for today and tomorrow I could get some much needed rest. I was listening to a friend of mine this afternoon talk of his would-be firing squad encounter tomorrow. The way I see it, he's in for something not so pleasant, but I could only hope for the best for my dear friend. Looking at how he's been acting today makes me feel thankful that I'm free of such things. Feb 14 to me will just be an ordinary day. Why should it be any bit different from other days.... Tomorrow, I'll be going to Main for the interview sa T.O.L. wismilak!
Anyway, here's the much sought after piece "Tongues On Fire". Hope you peeps like it, and till here 'coz I wanna hit the sack as early as now. Thanks to those who cared for my condition. When I'm stressed out, I can sometimes be totally absent from myself and appear dumb and numb.... hehe Enjoy V-Day.
TONGUES ON FIRE
Today is not my birthday, so please don't greet me just because I'm wearing RED. And if I happen to be wearing this same shirt during Valentines Day, please don't assume that I'm in love. It would be much safer if you'd assume that I'm wearing RED to perhaps attract some "still-not-taken prospects".
Now I am here to speak of love, a kind of love that transcends from various languages. How am I supposed to do just that? How could someone who hasn't experienced this kind of love speak from experience, much more make it sound funny? I certainly can't at this point, so perhaps I better shut up, just tickle your funny bones and give the floor to someone else, but I guess if I'd spend my next 3 minutes or so... boring you... perhaps I could gain some "vital information" from your facial expressions. So I'll be watching.
When I think of love, I remember my Bahraini classmate in French class way back in AdMU who once told me that love is more "amorous" when it is done the French way - try doing the French kiss. Need I say more? My friend also taught me this line "Je taime tu est la plus belle fille sur le monde", which means, "I love you. You are the most beautiful girl in the world." How about that! Certainly sounds more affectionate than, "Mahal kita", "Watashino ai shiteru des", "I LAB U" and certainly more appropriate than "Miss, miss, pwede mag ila ila" *laughs But hey, sometimes it works though.
We can catch ourselves laughing and smiling when we reminisce at love's funniest moments - those moments when we were too shallow to hold on to a hope which was never there or too "torpe" to even ask our special someone, "Can I walk you home and make it a walk to remember?" If you haven't found love, wait and be patient with it. It could only mean one thing: that someone is out there tonight looking at the moon thinking of you. Remember, he/she can't be too far away. After all, we're all under the same starry sky. If you like someone, tell her about it. Say it and be sincere. No playas around hear yo. A simple "Wo ai ni." will do. No need to insert those "Ummms, ahhhs" 'coz we all know that those are... non-words! If you have someone to call your "hunny bun", "munchkin"... *read fast: blueberrycheesecakeapplestrudelpie, then cherish those moments. That person beside you could be the mother or father of your future children.
Love is too serious a thing to laugh at. Many have soaked a million pillowcases over that someone who broke their heart or that someone who simply got away. A lot of hydrochloric acid has been dispensed to create that mouth-bubbling Cali effect. The Marcelo Fernan Bridge is a tourist spot for the hottest sport in town: bunjee jumping. And we all know for sure that Danding Cojuangco is wealthy, thanks to your countless purchases of Red Horse at Skolpad *read fast: thisisapaidadvertisementSkolpadislocatedacrossUSCTCCampus. Openfrom9AMto4AM. Love, love, love... all in the name of love. I'm sure February 14 should now be coined as: *act like The Rock: "INTERNATIONAL FIRING SQUAD DAY" Hope to see you there and I'll be watching.

My days have been so hectic that I haven't had a decent meal for a long time. When I eat nowadays, I have to eat fast so that I could get back to work and finish whatever it is I'm doing. I've been so busy with our project for Sir Burce. It was just last Monday that I knew from Sir that our circuit will be checked this Thursday. I thought he would just make a work progress inspection, but he changed his mind and instead finalized it into a checking...argh!
Because of this, I had to lose sleep. I am now almost 72 hours without sleep. Now I know how a computer feels when it's left ON for so many days. I'm so tired now. I even fell asleep in my class under Ma'am Bandalan and she had to wake me up. It was so embarrassing... to think I was seated in the center, frontmost row, right next to Ma'am... I'm already wearing sunglasses in school to hide the eye bags and also since my eyeglasses need repair and I still haven't found time to have it fixed. I'm so tired now... and as to the speech I made, I promise to post it by Friday night. I hope it isn't "bahaw na". Anyway, Feb. 14 will be Saturday yet, so my speech will still be "in" with the times. Feb. 14, Valentines... hmmm... another long day working on my project prototype... hehe. So till here, 'coz I'm just stealing time here while waiting for my group mate. Ciao!

Guess what I had for lunch?... Tortillo's! I was so busy the whole day that I didn't have time for lunch. So I just ate a pack of Tortillos in Sir Maderazo's 5:30PM class. I really couldn't help it 'coz my tummy was grumbling and maybe my teacher could already hear the grumbles... so I just had to give in. Lotsa things on my mind... and tomorrow's fully booked. Sleep, meals and TV are now luxuries. Hope this will be over soon.
Phew! At the end of this day I feel more relieved, but still not totally relieved. This morning, I took a "surprise" test as early as 7AM. Surprise because I was absent last Tuesday and I wasn't able to know that we're gonna have a test today. It's a good thing I study on a per class basis, so still I got a piso on that exam. That was a close one. No more absences for me. Had to cut it to do the project for Sir Burce. After that, we had an exam under Ma'am Bandalan. Boy, she has a way of draining people's brains. I was levitating and at a trance after her exam. I dunno how I fared. So now, I get to steal some time to blog. Finally I have some bit of time to myself. I've been like a slave to my schoolwork for the pas few days.
Finally delivered my humorous speech on L-O-V-E. Just composed it an hour before I delivered it. I hate memorizing. Impromptu is of lesser panic level compared to memorizing. Engineering I guess has its way of dulling our memory chips. It was a good thing my classmates liked the speech 'coz they could somehow relate. I thought for a moment there that their faces would just go blank on me... hehe. Hmmm... people do appreciate adlibs! I'll post a copy of my speech here soon... mybe tomorrow. I have some new bloggers to add to my links. Still have to figure out how to put 3 more links to my template. Maybe this weekend I'll update my template. Gtg now and till the next blog.

Wow! One week of silence. This is what Projects can do to a Blogger... hehe. I've been really busy doing our project for Sir Burce. Deadline's still far away, but our group planned to finish it as soon as possible so that we won't be pressured when finals comes and when the other subjects will demand more from us. Yesterday, I had to do away with my usual "Ayala visits" to do our project here at home. Last week also, Dr. Maja nominated me to T.O.L. I didn't want to join the search, since fulfilling the necessary requirements would mean time off my academics. But it would be an insult not to apply, since I've already been nominated... so the SAS demanded a lot of documents... so I spent the whole week looking around to have some documents authenticated... geesh. Well, if I'd be chosen as T.O.L. then good, if not, then I guess my work for the council would be etched as my precious memory. Either way, it's good for me... hehe
How are you peeps? Well, I've been appreciating Japanese stuff nowadays... I dunno, but I like anything Japanese... hehe. Perhaps it was an effect from watching Kill Bill and The Last Samurai, but I guess I just have a lot of appreciation for the Japanese way of life... and the way they strive for perfection. Amen.
By the way, our speech class is requiring us to compose a humorous speech on "Love in Different Languages"... I dunno what went on in their coconuts... but love can't be humorous. It's either monotonous or sarcastic. Help me peeps. I have to deliver it this Thursday.
