It's 1:20 AM here... I just had a long and an extremely busy day. I wanted to just hit the sack, but I still need to finalize my resume in time for tomorrow's OJT application at Lexmark R&D. And so I found time to squeeze in this blog entry while the printer is busy doing its share of my resume... hehe. Besides, this will be my 2nd to the last blog before we will depart for Manila this Sunday for our edtour. I wanna prove that I can be "buotan" when I'm in Manila... something which I should have done 4 years ago!!! tsktsktsk... *sigh I'm so excited about it already!
So inspired and so full of amusement... miracles can happen afterall if you believe and just let them be. Well, that's it and have to sleep now so that I could wake up in time for tomorrow's 8:30 interview and exam...wismilak.

Spent my first day of summer break with friends. My friend "Boogie" invited us to his graduation spree. He treated us out to watch Gothika in the Ayala Cinemas... had a good laugh at the horror flick... horror movies sure are entertaining when you've got a girl as your movie seatmate... not to mention giving your eardrums extra added decibel value... hahaha! Horror movies to me are like comedy flicks... don't get scared that much anymore 'coz the hair-raising, scream scenes are so predictable... like after a thrilling sound, comes silence and then when you thought it's over... BOOM! hahaha! Penelope Cruz, still the best lips ever!
After the movie, we had pictorials at Colours... still Boogie's treat... and then after, we had dinner at 10 Dove Street in Sto. Nio Village... still Boogie's treat. Loved the meal, from the Seafood Chowder I had to the Newport Salad, to Pilgrim's Harvest Sandwich and Tiramisu... yumm. Cozy place for "special" occasions.
Afterwards, we went to K1 at Crossroads to indulge in some karaoke singing... still Boogie's treat!!! Spent 2 and a half hours there. Had lots of fun singing YMCA with the macho men... hahaha! Joy can definitely sing like Asia's Songbird! Challenged her to sing a song by Regine, pero... shy cya...hehe. As to yours truly, no comment... I discovered something!
Today, I was supposed to go to SM as early as 8AM 'coz I'm one of the students chosen to be part of the USC delegation to attend the Aboitiz Fluid Connections Job Convention in Cebu at the SM CIty Conference Hall, but I decided not to 'coz I haven't graduated yet, so what's the use of applying. Some companies kasi have this policy of "Previous applicants need not apply." So I decided to apply at the RIGHT time... and that's when I have much stars to show... like a diploma with extra honor seals! I dunno why I was chosen from among the thousands of USC students... maybe my name got mixed up with those graduating students.
So I just went to Ayala to get a haircut and to have my watch repaired. Went back home and spent the rest of my day at home playing with our cute growing pet puppies and SIMS. I think if this habit goes on, it wouldn't be long till my daily routine will be like that of a SIM... Wake up, cook breakfast, clean the dishes, do the whistle, take a bath, study mechanical, practice speech, feed the fish, invite friends home, serve food for them, treat them out to downtown, go on a vacation, woo for someone's affection, return home groggy, fall flat on the floor due to fatigue, crawl up to bed and sleep... and that's just a day without work... heheh *sigh! Just finished watching the series of evening telenovelas over at ABS-CBN... Till the next SIM sunrise!

Summer vacation officially starts today for me. I just submitted my requirements for our networking class this morning. Today, I also got my grades from Sir Barangan... it's a 1.0 for me for both lecture and laboratory... yipee... 4 units taken cared of! I dunno why we got high grades from Sir, but maybe it's his way of silencing those who would complain about his poor teaching job this semester. Oh, well, whatever the reason is, I'm still happy with the grade I got. Doesn't matter to me 'coz for me what's important is getting out of college fast and landing myself into the REAL world and some funded research projects... hmm. Sir Lacorte gave me a mediocre 2.2... I dunno why... must have been our walay klaro final exams... got the highest, but still I wanna wring his neck... or some barbaric way of torture... hmmm... any suggestions? He's so full of air... promised us even that he will teach us Bluetooth... he can't even teach communication along a thin wire, how much more for wireless communication!
We also met this morning for our batch tour. All systems go for March 28. We'll be touring Manila, Baguio and Subic... Baguio is definitely my favorite place in the Philippines. The last time I was there was when I was still wearing diapees and sucking my teether... hehe.
By the way today's someone's birthday... asa ang bangka??? hehe... Happy Birthday Gary!
The sun now sets from my window. I'm now playing Sims... again... out of sheer boredom... and my Sim is already sleeping... maybe I should too. Hmm... gotta check on my 7 Valentine puppies. I can hear them barking outside... maybe they're up to something. Till the next sunrise!

Day starts with the rain... a cold chill strikes my feet rendering me numb as I tread the steps to the warm bathroom. I then do my morning rituals and soon I'm off to school to have a meeting with Sir Maja and the Club. The downpour has definitely slowed down the others and rendered them absent... and so after 2 hours of waiting, I decided to go home. After having lunch with family and a nice conversation going on at lunchtable, I decided to go to Ayala.
Bought me a Shawarma and a large cup of Strawberry-Melon Shake from Thirsty! Wanted to watch the screens, but couldn't find one worth my 70 bucks. And so I walk my usual walk around my "Home" and then clock strikes 4 and it's time to meet Leslie, Rouselle, Kris and Dondon... and then for some odd reason, my phone rings and it's my mom. Someone spilled sticky aceite on our car at the parking lot... and so I had to rush down to clean up the mess lest it makes a permanent mark on the paintwork. And so after 30 minutes of scrubbing, I return back to enjoy the company of friends I haven't seen for a rather long time. We go around looking at things and finally end at Kublai Khan where the peeps wanted to have a snack... hmmm "some" snack!
Had to leave early 'coz mom has a party tonight and I had to be dropped home early to cook for my dear 'ol brother's and my dinner... and so here I am blogging and looking for a new image hosting site. And to my surprise, a friend is also online.
I'm so happy today! Someone gave me a nice picture... actually two. And so I've got work to do. Till the next sunrise, enjoy the cold summer night.

Another year goes by and it has been an extremely busy but fruitful year. Many challenges have been met, many roads taken, many obstacles surmounted, many bonds lost and made. And after a stormy year comes the calming. It is history now and what lies ahead is NOW. The future is uncertain, but I could only hope for the best to come.
I close my eyes as my heart searches for inner peace. Memory is a thousand images that come to one final view. I squint at the blinding light and begin to wonder. Thoughts, thoughts, my thoughts! I miss the beach and the magnificent sunrise that comes with the morning view... and how the sun, in a bleak of light, fills my world with vibrant color. I find pleasure in the cool ruffling tides that sweep off my feet by the bay... and how the sand cares for my worn out feet. For so long I have forgotten how the wind sings with the voice of a nymph... and how it shatters the silence of my heart. The waves keep me warm like the sweet embrace of a lover. In the tranquil waters, I find solace. These are the miracles I have once cherished and hopefully this summer, I'll be reunited with my senses once again. It has been a year and it will soon be another one.
I awaken to the world in lighter shades as darkness fades to light. I see the beauty that lies ahead... if only I could reach out and feel the contours of her face. Nature is such full of wonder beyond imagination. The house stirs to the rising sun. It is a new day and I believe in miracles.

8 hours to go before my major exam of the season. I'm still studying now for this multiple choice exam worth 109 pages in the Digital Design book... 109 pages filled with information that must be stored in my memory brain chips till the end of the exam at exactly 10:30AM tomorrow. Now I know what my thesis proposal should be: "Students' Must-Have Survival Toolkit: Integration of a PC to the Human Brain Through the Bandalan Microprocessor, Microcontroller and Memory Allocation Method" Call me quack! hehe... so shoot me! I could feel time and pressure sapping the life force out of me. After taking this exam in 8 hours time, my world is gonna be as tranquil as the aftermath of a nuclear explosion. The sheer silence shall shatter my eardrums and the earth shall be no more than a mere barren wasteland.
Thought Korner (Haven't had this for so long too...)
A Dose of My Sarcasm: How fun it is to be a teacher! Hmm... it's like playing God. Students rock their brains for the coverage of your exams and they study as if it's the encyclopedia cover to cover, volume to volume! And the worst part is that, still their scores can't measure up for a passing grade. 3.00000001 is not a passing 3.0. It's a failing 5.0! Talk about mercy in our ReEd class! Oh, and not to mention how their bodies shiver at the questions you pose at them, while you're sitting pretty infront laughing at their poor, miserable faces. How nice! Explain that Einstein! Prove it using E=mc^2!!! I'm sure the only proof to it lies in PSYCHOLOGY and HISTORY. Their teachers before did that to them and so they too do it to us, hoping that someday we shall do it to our own students. ERGO, not all traditions must be passed down from generation to generation.

Yesterday, I took an exam where I was so clueless as to what kind of score I could possibly get. I've mentioned earlier about how much I've been worrying about my grades thanks to Sir Barangan! Well, my worries ended yesterday as I took the online exam for Assembly Language. I didn't study for the exam. I study for exams, especially those with rather difficult professors, but when the coverage is kind of vague, I usually resort to throwing my chances to fate. I didn't know what to expect, so I didn't study and instead went on a VCD movie marathon here at home... hehe... watching Just Married (Is that how honeymoons are supposed to be? Great! Fun!) to A Walk to Remember (I sttill laugh at the "Thank you!" line... hahaha) to Milan to With Honors to Chances Are ("Old movie!") to Moulin Rouge ("There's nothing in this world like poems being sung!")...
Well, as I answered the questions which Sir Barangan just typed an hour prior to the exam!!! (talk about sheer laziness!), my mind was already chanting "Uh oh's" and I was bitting my nails, 'coz I wasn't sure with MOST of my answers... considering it's a right minus wrong exam! So when I clicked the Submit Answers button, I was shocked to get 17 out of the 20 item exam. I shouted a loud YES! which stirred the exam room. I felt ashamed there with some examinees looking at me, but what the heck... I was so happy! happy! happy! happy! Nevermind those 3 wrong answers, but I thanked the Lord a lot for that MIRACLE (it does happen... sometimes). That's why I like multiple choice exams... even if you don't know the right answer, for as long as you know how to eliminate choices, it's a sure-fire way to get the big score. I feel so relieved now. I can BREATHE!!! Have to see what's in store for me in this afternoon's exam of Sir Lacorte and tomorrow's exam of Ma'am Bandalan (yikes!) and Sir Maderazo's networking exam. Till here peeps 'coz I'll do some last-minute browsing of my notes before I go to school for my exam today. Good luck in your exams and hope to read something from your blogs soon!

LONG Blog! Haven't done this for so LONG!
Last Friday night, I was struck by an isolated case of insomnia. I was thinking hard about the impact of finals week on my final grade for my subjects. The grade in Java Sir Barangan gave me worried me a lot. Java was one of the subjects that I was sure to get a good grade in. I somehow felt cheated that the only basis for our final grade was the online exam he gave us last week. I didn't fare well in it... 8 correct and 6 wrong... in a right minus wrong exam with 3 points for every correct answer and minus 1 point for every wrong answer. I even thought I got perfect in it... and upon seeing the results, I wasn't even sure if my answers were really wrong 'coz Sir never bothered to discuss the answers to the questions, plus some of the questions in the exam had to be given as bonus since they were stated wrongly. It's really unfair to give a semester's worth of grade based only on one exam. If this could happen in my Java class, I dunno what's in store for my other 2 subjects he is handling. Both of which we still haven't had even one exam! I have a huge pool of bonus points, but I don't know where they went. Sir just told me that he added them just to the teacher's evaluation which is just 10% of the grade. And he once promised us that he'll add it to our quizzeS... quizzeS daw (take not of the S)... make it ONE "quiz" Argh! I feel like tying him up together with his dogs! @**&$$^*&^@!
I'm scared about my grades this semester. It's not that the subjects are difficult. I know these lessons very well, a lot. What worries me is that our teachers are "walay klaro". What's there to study, if there's nothing to study? They've been absent for so many classes already and whenever they are present, they don't discuss much and leave us chit chatting in class. What could be the basis for our final grades then?!?!? I'm hoping for a miracle this week. The only positive thing I could look forward to now is the robotics competition to be held this coming June, to which we will be preparing as early as next week.
I slept only at 4AM after surfing the net from 1AM onwards. My mind was really running and the only solace would be loud trance music... but everyone's asleep, so I just had to resort to keeping myself focused on something. I was looking for a translation for one of Pablo Neruda's poems... but to no avail. It was all in Espaol. So I gave up and started browsing for some digitally edited images to widen my knowledge of Photoshop. So after browsing and saving around 10 samples, I checked mail and then hit the sack.
Woke up at 7 to conduct a meeting with the Robotics Club core members from our batch at 8 to discuss about the summer project we will be working on: that's three line following racing robots for Manila's competition and one Z-Log microcontroller research project for April's proposal defense also at Manila. I was really groggy and sleepy, but the enthusiasm of the members kept me awake. We ended our brainstorming session at 11:00 and I headed for Ayala... haven't been there for nearly 2 weeks! That's the longest mall absence I've incurred so far... hehe. I was really sleepy in the mall, so I decided to watch a movie and stay in the movie house for as long as I could gather energy to open my eyes and walk around the mall. So I watched Under the Tuscan Sun. I thought it was some romantic comedy, but it wasn't. It was more like someone embarking on a journey and at the same time speaking her thoughts. I like movies of this kind where the main character's voice speaks of her thoughts... more like narration. The movie was a bit nice... kinda confusing with scenes shifting often and focusing on abstract scenes that make you think "What's the connection?" and so it makes your mind work a lot. Kinda depressing too since it portrays how the characters cope with the pains of love... hehe, but I was just there to try to sleep without shamefully snoring. I entered the movie house at 1:00 and exited at around 6:00! I was more energized now. We then went to JY Square to eat at Hotei... and when we reached home... I slept again. Better to sleep than to keep thinking about next week and get myself anxious. Haaaayyy... come what may!

Finally our project is over... had it checked by Sir Burce this morning... the prototype circuits had a few minor bugs, but that was all we could offer given the hectic schedule our group had. I feel so relieved and now I can SLEEP... I already miss my bed... been sleeping in the living room for the past few days.
Todady, we had our Council elections. Congrats to Maia for being elected as our new Council president. Tomorrow will be our last activity as outgoing officers... it will be our year-end thanksgiving party at Grand Con... I'll be busy preparing the last minute details and after that... I have my eyes set on finals week and then summer break! Not much of a break for me, but it will be fun 'coz we'll be performing research and development for a robotics competition this coming June in Manila. Time to hit the sack as early as 8PM.

"BUSY" - my most overrated, overused term... so busy despite the fact that I'm delegating work to others na... hahay... somehow it still comes back to me, but at least lesser. I'm so worried na... our party will be March 12.... deadline for 50% downpayment is on Monday and only 2 bought tickets... hahay... and tomorrow, almost everyone will be at SM for the exhibits, so I dunno how we could sell tickets that way... I dunno na lang what to do about this. My head's splitting! Heaven help me!

Didn't sleep again last night and had to climb all the way up to IRS to attend the 830 mass. Had to go there since I was tasked to read the prayers of the faithful. had to drag my sleepy @$$ up there... with a splitting headache, burning ees and stuffy nose. Couldn't get any better than this!
Surprise surprise! Sir Burce extended the deadline to next Thursday! Maybe some kind of reward from Him for really climbing to IRS... hehe. Now, the BED is my bestfriend! Now that the deadline's been extended, I'm more free, but still not totally. As in today, I haven't seated myself on a chair for more than 3 minutes. Even during classes, I had to go out, do some stuff and then run back. And I still got so many things to do fdespite my extra boosted running velocity. I could only imagine how much I could just accomplish if I walked a hare's pace. Oh well, I could only hope for better days to come. Till here... have to hit the sack as early as now... bear with me... I'll be hibernating!

I'm so busy nowadays... super hard pressure is on me... not just on my shoulders but on ME! My watch is now my bestfriend since every second practically counts. I feel like I'm some cancer patient or deathrow inmate where time ticks away so loudly. I think I'm in for some brain damage. If you think I'm already whacked out, please be my good friend... send me ASAP to the mental institution nearest you. OK?
